Carille é esperado em Salvador nesta quinta-feira (10) e deve estrear já neste sábado (12), na partida contra o Internacional, válida pela 13ª rodada do Brasileirão. O contrato do técnico com o Vitória tem duração de um ano.
A negociação para a vinda de Carille foi conduzida pelo presidente Fábio Mota, pelo diretor de futebol Gustavo Oliveira e pelo empresário Paulo Pitombeira.
O treinador assume um time que se encontra na beira da zona de rebaixamento do Campeonato Brasileiro, com os mesmos 11 pontos do Internacional, equipe que abre a zona da degola. O Vitória terá foco total na Série A até o final da temporada.
Carille estava sem clube desde abril, quando foi demitido do Vasco. Ele iniciou sua carreira como treinador em 2016, no Corinthians, onde foi efetivado e conquistou o Campeonato Brasileiro de 2017. Ao longo de sua trajetória, Carille comandou equipes como Al-Wehda e Al-Ittihad (Arábia Saudita), V-Varen Nagasaki (Japão) e Athletico-PR. Ele também teve duas passagens pelo Santos, sendo a última em 2024, quando conquistou o acesso e o título da Série B. Em sua carreira, Carille soma 409 partidas, com 186 vitórias, 118 empates e 105 derrotas.
